Hello friends, and happy 2017!! I’ve been taking it easy the past week and trying to recharge my batteries (oh hello, waking up later than 7 a.m.) before starting a new semester on Monday, but getting back to the office this week has been tough. Breaks just never seem to last long enough!! I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday, and are having a great start to 2017!
For me, after the holidays, one of the things I miss most of all is the excuse to bake overly extravagant foods. Yes, I miss the gift exchanges, parties, and fun sparkly clothes, but the post-holiday thing that I seriously pine after is the food! So, because I am obsessed, I wanted to share one of my very favorite recipes with all of you.
These glorious, homemade, gooey cinnamon rolls have become a holiday staple in my family and are seriously addicting. For the past couple of years I’ve prepared them on Christmas Eve, refrigerated them, and then popped them in the oven and added the frosting on Christmas morning (so everyone can wake up to delicious cinnamon-sugary smells floating throughout the house, obviously :)).
These make an appearance in my kitchen multiple times throughout the winter. And if you’re not an eggnog lover, fear not – you really can’t tell it’s in there, and yet it gives the entire dish a creamy, flavorful quality! Do you guys have any favorite dishes for winter? I’d love to hear them!
